The Creative Team Leader is responsible for overseeing all aspects of content production, brand storytelling, and creative execution. This role manages a multi-disciplinary team that includes copywriters, content specialists, creative writers, designers (2D/3D), video editors, photographers, animators, and other production crew.
The Creative Team Leader ensures that brand story is consistently communicated across all channels and platforms while aligning with business objectives. Acting as the “manufacturing hub” for creative output, this role covers campaign ideation, production oversight, and cross-functional collaboration, including the management of external creative and production agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the vision and execution of creative direction across campaigns, platforms, and products.
- Build and translate brand storytelling into compelling campaigns that resonate with students, parents, schools, and government stakeholders.
- Develop creative concepts, storyboards, and mood boards for campaigns, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Manage external agencies and freelancers when needed to extend capacity.
Team & Production Management
- Supervise and mentor a cross-functional creative team (writers, designers, editors, animators, photographers).
- Oversee end-to-end production of all marketing materials, from ideation to delivery.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, quality, and consistency are met.
- Establish efficient workflows for creative production and content approvals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Growth and Performance Teams to deliver creative assets for acquisition and retention campaigns.
- Support the Sales Team with decks, case studies, and visual materials for B2B/B2G presentations.
- Collaborate with the Community Team to adapt grassroots/student-created content into polished campaigns.
Brand Consistency & Innovation
- Ensure all outputs reflect company’s brand guidelines, visual identity, and tone of voice.
- Continuously innovate creative formats (short-form, AR/VR, gamified visuals) to keep ULA relevant to its student audience.
- Maintain quality control across all creative materials to ensure professional polish.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Art, Design, Marketing, Media, or Communications (background in Art is a must).
- Experienced in creative roles
- Proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary creative teams (writers, designers, editors, animators).
- Strong background in brand storytelling, campaign ideation, and cross-platform creative execution.
- Experience in tech or startups is a strong plus.
- Strong project management experience with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Familiarity with agency management and outsourcing workflows.
- Experience in EdTech, technology, or education-related industries is a plus.
